Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a conjugated diene polymer with a very high 1,4-cis structure content using a highly active yttrium compound-containing catalyst relatively easy in handling.SOLUTION: In a method for producing a conjugated diene polymer containing 99% or more of a cis-1,4 structure, a conjugated diene is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst obtained from (A) a specific yttrium compound, (B) an ionic compound comprising a noncoordinating anion and a cation, and (C) an organic aluminum compound.
