Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder which has excellent binder melting characteristics at intersection points of inorganic fiber chopped strands in an inorganic fiber chopped strand laminate, and which is also excellent in mechanical strength.SOLUTION: Provided is a binder (X) for an inorganic fiber nonwoven fabric, comprising a polyester resin (PS) containing, as constitutional units, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and/or an ester-forming derivative thereof (x) and one kind of diol (y) selected from the group consisting of alkylene oxide adducts of bisphenol compounds and (poly)alkylene glycols. The (PS) has a ratio of a storage modulus at 140°C, G'(140), to a storage modulus at 160°C, G'(160), of 2 to 10.
