PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power reception device which optimizes received power by performing resonance frequency adjustment independently from the transmission side, so as not to conflict with the output control on the transmission side.SOLUTION: A power reception device includes a transmission and reception unit 2 including a resonance circuit having an antenna 2a for receiving power transmitted from a non-contact charger 50, and transmitting and receiving data to and from the non-contact charger 50, a charge control unit 5 performing power supply control including the charging of a secondary battery 6 with the power received by the transmission and reception unit 2, and a control unit 3 for generating control state data representing the charged state of the secondary battery 6 and/or the power supply state of the apparatus body 30 operating with the secondary battery 6, and transmitting the control state data to the non-contact charger 50. The control unit 3 has a power reception mode performing normal power supply, and an adjustment mode for adjusting the received power by adjusting the resonance frequency of the resonance circuit.
