POWER CONVERTER FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER GENERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert the output power from other solar cell connected, without limiting by the rating of a chopper circuit, when any one of the solar cells connected stops.SOLUTION: A power converter 2 for photovoltaic power generation includes a plurality of chopper circuits 24a, 24b where each solar cell 1a, 1b is connected with each input terminal via each power detection section 21a, 21b and each switch 22a, 22b, a switch 23 for communication bus bar connected between the input terminals of the plurality of chopper circuits 24a, 24b, respectively, and a control circuit 27 for controlling to turn on the switch 23 for communication bus bar connected between the input terminal of the chopper circuit 24b related to the stopped solar cell 1b, and the input terminal of the chopper circuit 24a related to the exceeded solar cell 1a, when the solar cell 1b out of the solar cells 1a, 1b stops.
