Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder for magnet which can exhibit high corrosion resistance even in harsh environments such as high temperature water, by forming a membrane having corrosion resistance, adhesion and heat resistance on the surface of magnet powder particles.SOLUTION: In a magnet powder where a first metal plating layer is formed of a metal having corrosion resistance on the surface of magnet powder particles composed of an iron-based magnet alloy containing a rare-earth element, and a second metal plating layer is formed of a metal having corrosion resistance further thereon, the metal of the second metal plating layer may be a metal having ionization tendency larger than that of the metal of the first metal plating layer, the first metal plating layer may be thin plating, and the second metal plating layer may be thick plating.
