Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a redox device in which harmful gas, more specifically formation of detonating gas, is avoided without performing a cleaning process, and to provide a redox device which can operate over a long term in closed operation, with no risk due to generation of detonating gas.SOLUTION: In the stop mode of at least one redox unit 12a provided for performing at least one redox reaction while consuming and/or producing first gas, especially hydrogen gas, and/or a second gas, especially oxygen gas, at least one residual gas purification unit 20a, 22a for removing at least one gas contamination substance by purifying at least one residual gas in the redox unit 12a is provided.
