Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery, achieving both suppression of reductive decomposition of an electrolyte and an electrolytic solution and suppression of resistance increase.SOLUTION: In a negative electrode for a nonaqueous secondary battery, a polymer coat layer coating at least part of the surface of negative electrode active material particles containing silicon oxide (SiO: x satisfies 0.5≤x≤1.6) is formed, and the polymer coat layer contains a cationic polymer having a positive zeta potential in a neutral condition. The silicon oxide has a negative zeta potential, so that a thin and uniform coat layer can be formed by a Coulomb force.
