IC CARD READER AND REPAIRING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing a system failure from occurring even through an IC card reader that corresponds only to the conventional communication protocol is left behind in an information processing system when changing communication protocols.SOLUTION: An IC card reader includes a communication interface 11 to be connected to a host device 102, an IC card interface 12 for communicating with an IC card 104, a storage part for storing an operation program 16, and an arithmetic unit 13 for performing transfer processing of a command received from the host device to the IC card 104 by executing the operation program 16. The operation program 16 is described so as to make the arithmetic unit 13 perform filtering processing for blocking such that the received command is not transferred to the IC card 104 in the case that the command received from the host device 102 is a specified command.
