WATER-ABSORBING, OIL-REPELLENT AND SOIL-RESISTANT AGENT, AND FIBER PRODUCT TREATED USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber product which is a fiber cloth provided with a water absorbing property, soil resistance, and excellent oil repellency.SOLUTION: Provided is a water-absorbing, oil-repellent and soil-resistant agent (I) comprising: a fluorine-containing copolymer (a) which emphasizes oil repellency containing as an essential component repeating units derived from (A) a fluorine-containing vinyl monomer having a fluoroalkyl group having 6 carbon atoms or less, (B) a hydrophilic vinyl monomer containing a polyalkylene glycol, (C) a non-polyalkylene glycol-based vinyl monomer, and (D) a sulfonic acid-based vinyl monomer, wherein amounts of (A), (B) and (C) are 10 to 70 pts.wt., 20 to 80 pts.wt. and 1 to 30 pts.wt., respectively; and a fluorine-containing copolymer (b) which emphasizes water-absorbing property wherein amounts of (A), (B), (C) and (D) are 10 to 70 pts.wt., 20 to 80 pts.wt., 1 to 30 pts.wt. and 5 to 50 pts.wt., respectively, wherein (a) and (b) may be used singly or may be used in combination in an arbitrary ratio. Also provided are a fiber product provided with a water-absorbing, oil-repellent and soil resistant treatment using the same, and a processing method. Further provided are: a water-absorbing, oil-repellent and soil resistant processing method comprising processing and treating fiber cloths either by using the above-mentioned water-absorbing, oil-repellent and soil resistant agent (I) and a well-known hydrophilic polyester resin (II) such as a condensation product or a polycondensation product between a polybasic carboxylic acid component and a glycol component (II), or by using (I), (II) and a durability improver (III); and a fiber product provided with a water-absorbing, oil-repellent and soil resistant treatment by the processing method.
