Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a base tread capable of improving low fuel consumption property and fracture strength with good balance, and to provided a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: There is provided one containing a rubber component and two kinds of silica having different nitrogen adsorption specific surface area, and the rubber component is obtained by reacting a compound represented by the formula (2) with a terminal of a conjugated diene polymer having a constitutional unit based on the conjugated diene and a constitutional unit of a compound represented by the formula (1).
