PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten waiting time of a user in printing a plurality of non-separator labels.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: means for conveying one end part of a recording medium 105 in a first direction; means 110 for cutting one region after image formation is performed in the one region on the one end part side of the recording medium 105; means 137 for discharging the one region to a discharge port; means 106 for detecting whether or not the one region remains at the discharge port for a predetermined period of time; means for determining whether or not the image formation performed in the other region on the one end part side of the recording medium remains; means for conveying the other end part of the recording medium 105 to a second direction by predetermined distance when the one region is detected to be remaining at the discharge port for the predetermined period of time, and the image formation performed in the other region on the one end part side is determined to be remaining; means for conveying the one end part of the recording medium 105 in a third direction after being conveyed by the predetermined distance; and means 100 for conveying in the third direction and, at the same time, performing image formation remaining in the other region on the one end part side.
