WEAR MEASUREMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wear measurement system capable of obtaining a trolley wire wear measurement value in consideration of an inclination angle of a pantagraph, and a method for the same.SOLUTION: A wear measurement system places, on the roof of an electric train 1, a wear measuring camera 2 for taking an image of the undersurface of a trolley wire 3 being in contact with a pantograph 5, and comprises an image processing unit 10 for performing image processing on an image of the undersurface of the trolley wire 3 whose image has been taken by the wear measuring camera 2 to measure a worn width of the trolley wire 3. The wear measurement system places, on the roof of the electric train 1, two pantograph imaging cameras 6, 7 for respectively taking images of markers mounted on two right and left places of the pantograph 5, and includes, in the image processing unit 10, an inclination angle calculating unit for calculating an inclination angle of the whole pantograph 5 on the basis of an image taken by the pantograph imaging cameras 6, 7. A correction calculating unit uses the inclination angle of the whole pantograph 5 calculated by the inclination angle calculating unit, as an inclination angle of the trolley wire 3.
