ELEVATOR CAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elevator cage which can be reduced in weight while ensuring desired rigidity.SOLUTION: An elevator cage includes a cage floor 2, columns 4-7 whose lower ends are fixed to corners of the cage floor 2 respectively and whose upper ends extend vertically, an upper frame ceiling unit 8 whose corners are fixed to the upper ends of the columns 4-7 respectively, and a wall panel 25 arranged between the adjacent columns 4-7 and between the cage floor 2 and the upper frame ceiling unit 8. In the wall panel 25, its peripheral parts are fixed to the cage floor 2, the upper frame ceiling unit 8, and columns 4-7 respectively.
