PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device which prevents data input to an input device from being read out in an unauthorized manner.SOLUTION: A terminal device 2 comprises: a main body 10; and a keyboard 50 which can be attached/detached to/from the main body 10. The keyboard 50 comprises: operation keys 62 for inputting data; and a CPU 52 which, when specific data is input via the operation keys 62, determines a specific encryption method at random, generates specific encrypted data by encrypting the specific data by the specific encryption method, and generates a specific method code related to the specific encryption method. The main body 10 acquires the specific method code and the specific encrypted data from the keyboard 50, identifies the specific encryption method by using the specific method code, and generates the specific data by decrypting the specific encrypted data by the specific encryption method.
