PROJECTION DEVICE AND PROJECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a change in a size of a projection image when changing a projection angle.SOLUTION: A drum section is rotated, thereby a projection direction of a projection section converting image data into light and projecting the light is changed. A distance to a projected medium to which the projection section projects the light is measured on the basis of an output of a distance sensor, and a first projection direction where a measured distance is the shortest is acquired. A ratio of a size on the projected medium of a projection image having an image composed of the image data projected in a second projection direction by the projection section to a size on the projected medium of the projection image projected in the first projection direction is acquired. According to the acquired ratio, a reduction process is performed on the image data to be projected by the projection section.
