PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crane driving device which can suppress the occurrence of a slip phenomenon and enables early restoration from a slip state, and to provide a crane.SOLUTION: A crane driving device includes: a pair of drive parts 22 provided corresponding to a pair of right and left travel parts 12 traveling on traveling rails 107; a pair of detection parts 31 detecting output currents from inverters 24 to motors 23 respectively provided in the drive parts 22; and a control part 32 controlling the inverters 24 of the respective drive parts 22 on the basis of the currents detected by the detection parts 31 corresponding to the respective drive parts 22. The control part 32 monitors whether or not the currents detected by the detection parts 31 exceed an upper limit or a lower limit set corresponding to a slip phenomenon. When the current exceeds the lower limit, a speed command for acceleration to the motor 23 of the drive part 22 exceeding the lower limit is suppressed, and when the current exceeds the upper limit, a speed command for acceleration to the motor 23 of the drive part 22 exceeding the upper limit is suppressed.
