Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten burdens on a user and prevent the capacity of a recording device from being pressured when selecting desired image data from among a group consisting of multiple image data derived from one image data.SOLUTION: When determining a thumbnail image to be displayed in a selected display mode in which only one thumbnail image representing a classified group of similar thumbnail images is displayed, editing operations between editing history stacks determined to have duplicates of a previous step id in a plurality of link files are compared with each other. If a value obtained by summing up each differential value per editing operation is less than or equal to a threshold, one of the thumbnail images is not displayed.
