Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination light source in which boards on which light emitting elements are mounted can be fixed to a base without applying a local load to the boards in a limited space on the base.SOLUTION: The illumination light source comprises: a translucent cover 20; a base 30 covered with the translucent cover 20; boards 11 placed on the base 30; LED elements 12 arranged on the boards 11; and retaining members 50 for retaining the boards 11. The boards 11 are provided with cutout portions 11a formed so as to partially cut out end portions of the boards 11. The retaining members 50 are arranged on the base 30 so as to straddle the boards 11 from the cutout portions 11a, and are fixed to the base 30 so as to retain the straddled portions of the boards 11.
