FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that improves heating efficiency at an end in a longitudinal direction of a heating element with a simple configuration, so as to prevent a calorific value at the end from becoming smaller than that in a central part.SOLUTION: A fixing device 40 includes: a rotating body 51 having a heating layer; an excitation coil 62 that heats the heating layer by electromagnetic induction; magnetic body cores 63, 64, and 65 that guide magnetic flux generated by the excitation coil to the rotating body; and a holding body 61 that holds the excitation coil and the magnetic body cores. The excitation coil has two or more arched cores 65 arranged at a folding part at an end in a longitudinal direction.
