ADAPTER FOR ELECTRON CAPTURE DETECTOR AND ELECTRON CAPTURE DETECTOR INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for an electron capture detector, which is capable of satisfactorily mixing a sample gas and a make-up gas, and an electron capture detector including the same.SOLUTION: A sample gas supplied from a front end of a column 3 is mixed with a make-up gas in an introduction line 222 of a mixing part 22 attached to an adapter body 21 and then is introduced into a cell chamber 11. This configuration allows the sample gas and the make-up gas to be mixed more satisfactorily in comparison with a configuration in which the sample gas and the make-up gas are mixed in the cell chamber for the first time. When spiral irregularities 223 are formed in the introduction line 222, turbulent flow is generated in the introduction line 222 to be able to improve the efficiency of mixing between the sample gas and the make-up gas.
