Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire which suppresses a use of an oil resource as much as possible, enhances compatibility between a microfibrillated vegetable fiber and a rubber component with a simple method, and can improve fuel saving, fracture characteristics and steering stability in a balanced manner, and to provide a pneumatic tire manufactured using the rubber composition.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a tire contains a rubber component, a microfibrillated vegetable fiber and a rosin-based resin. The rubber component preferably contains at least one selected from a group consisting of a natural rubber, a modified natural rubber, a synthetic rubber, and a modified synthetic rubber. The microfibrillated vegetable fiber is preferably cellulose microfibril.
