PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scribe device such that a marking-off member having worn away can be replaced while proper scribe lines can be formed on a glass original plate even when the glass original plate is continuously conveyed.SOLUTION: A scribe device includes: a front-side rail which is arranged facing one surface of a glass original plate continuously conveyed in a first direction and also extends in a direction crossing the first direction; and two or more front-side traveling carriages which are configured to travel along the front-side rail and each fitted with a tapered marking-off member to be pressed against the one surface of the glass original plate in a replaceable state. The front-side rail is set to be longer than the width of the glass original plate in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and has both ends positioned outside a carrying track for the glass original plate and also set at standby positions where at least one front-side traveling carriage can stand by.
