Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus in which a coating gap between a die and a back roll or a long film can be detected in a non-contact form without requiring frequent calibrations.SOLUTION: A coating apparatus 1 has a pair of measuring means 8 at positions of a back roll 7 where the back roll 7 faces a die 7. Each of the measuring means 8 includes a projector 11 and an optical receiver 12. The projector 11 projects a belt-like laser beam extending in a plane rectangular to a rotational axis of the back roll 3 in a tangential direction of the back roll 3 in such a manner that at least one side edge of the belt-like laser beam is blocked by the back roll 3. The optical receiver 12 receives the laser beam projected by the projector 11 on the opposite side of the back roll in the tangential direction, and detects the width of received laser beam. |
