PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair iron that is capable of heating hair at various temperatures and that has excellent operability.SOLUTION: The hair iron includes: an upper and lower holding parts 4B, 5B as the parts for holding hair in-between; heating parts 10, 15 that are arranged in the upper and lower holding parts 4B, 5B respectively; and a temperature adjustment button 12 as a part for setting temperatures. In response to a temperature set by the temperature adjustment button 12, the iron is configured to arbitrarily vary the temperature of the heating parts 10, 15. In this instance, in accordance with the temperature set by the temperature adjustment button 12, the hair held between the upper and lower holding parts 4B, 5B can be heated while the temperature of the heating parts 10, 15 is varied. Accordingly, the hair iron can be provided which is capable of heating the hair at various temperatures and which has excellent operability.
