POSITION CHANGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position changing device by which the position of paper money is smoothly changed in a position changing part and the paper money can smoothly be passed through a paper money ejection part.SOLUTION: A position changing device comprises: a paper money receiving part formed from a roller and a first pulley arranged close to each other and configured to receive paper money conveyed in a vertical position into a position changing part; a position changing part configured to change the vertical position of paper money received by a conveyance belt and the paper money receiving part into a horizontal position in cooperation with the conveyance belt, the conveyance belt being wound between the first pulley and a second pulley and twisted 90 degrees on the second pulley side; a paper money ejection part including a pair of curved guides, upper and lower, configured to guide paper money, changed into the horizontal position by the position changing part, to an ejection port, and conveyance means for conveying paper money to the ejection port; and a driving part for the first pulley or second pulley and the conveyance means. The position changing device is provided with a projecting part in the widthwise middle of the latter half of the position changing guide of the position changing part in the conveyance direction, the projecting part being used to extend conveyed paper money in both sides in the widthwise direction.
