Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a configuration of a display device which can obtain adequate fluorescent emission without increasing the thickness of a light adjusting layer nor giving influence on the characteristics of the light adjusting layer.SOLUTION: A display device includes: a first substrate 10; a counter substrate 20 provided counter to the first substrate 10; a light adjusting layer 30 held between the first substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20 and configured to be switchable between a transparent state and a scattering state; and a spacer 40 regulating a gap between the first substrate 10 and the counter substrate 20. The spacer 40 includes a fluorescent dye 42 which absorbs light and emits fluorescent light.
