Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing to be used with an outer ring being rotated, capable of inhibiting the leakage of grease by improving the assemblability and also improving seal fitting force.SOLUTION: The rolling bearing has a seal 5 for sealing a bearing space between inner and outer rings 1, 2. It is used with the outer ring being rotated in the state that the base end on the outer diameter side of the seal 5 is fitted into an outer ring seal groove 2b. The seal 5 has an annular core material 6, and an elastic member 7 covering the core material 6. The core material 6 is set on a site where at least the base end 11 is elastically diameter-shrinkable, and the base end 11 of the seal 5 is fitted into the outer ring seal groove 2b. Then, when the base end 11 is elastically deformed inward in the radial direction, the base end 11 is elastically restored in the state that the base end 11 is fitted into the outer ring seal groove 2b.
