Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper nozzle for a tundish that can reliably perform separable blowing of gas from mutual parts of a dense brick part and a porous brick part, or a plurality of porous bricks and can more effectively blow the gas in a molten steel, in a multiple layer type upper nozzle having an inner structure comprising the multi-layer structure of the dense brick part and the porous brick part by integral molding.SOLUTION: An average pore diameter of a dense brick constituting the dense brick part 4 is 5 μm or less, permeability is set to 0.005 cmcm/(cmsec cm HO) or less, and a ratio between the permeability of the dense brick part 4 and the permeability of the porous brick parts 2a, 2b is set to 1/4 or less.
