Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new masking agent capable of reducing the unpleasant taste such as the pungency and bitterness of medicine and the like, without necessity for a special manufacturing process in manufacturing; and food products, medical drugs, and quasi drugs including the masking agent.SOLUTION: The unpleasant taste masking agent is a solid compound produced by drying a colloidal solution including a gallate-type catechin (A) and a protein (B) having an average molecular weight of 4,000 or more, with a content (wt%) ratio (B/A) of 1 to 20. The food products, medical drugs, and quasi drugs include the masking agent.
