ENGINE OIL WARNING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect reduction of engine oil in an oil pan with a simple construction and give a warning without stabilizing an oil level of the engine oil in the oil pan.SOLUTION: An engine oil warning device is provided with: a chamber 4 provided on a rear side face of an oil pan 2, to which engine oil 3 is moved when a vehicle is accelerated and runs forward, and provided, on a side face thereof, with an oil inflow hole 5 into which the engine oil 2 flows when a liquid level of the engine oil 3 is inclined by the forward acceleration and reaches a preset height; and a butterfly valve 6 generating a signal when an oil quantity of the engine oil 3 flowed in through the oil inflow hole 5 exceeds a preset oil quantity. When the vehicle is accelerated and runs forward on an almost flat road beyond a preset acceleration and when a valve opening signal of the butterfly valve 6 within a preset time becomes equal to or larger than a preset value, the quantity of the engine oil 3 is determined to be normal, and when the same is lower than the preset value, the quantity of the engine oil 3 is determined to be abnormal.
