Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium storage device and an image forming apparatus capable of accurately performing positioning of a medium.SOLUTION: A medium storage device includes a medium loading section and a medium regulation section for regulating movement of a medium loaded on the medium loading section. The medium regulation section has: a width direction regulation section for regulating movement in a width direction that is perpendicular to medium conveying direction; and a lengthwise direction regulation section for regulating movement in a lengthwise direction that is the medium conveying direction. Even when an impact is applied to the medium storage device, when the medium storage device is pulled out or pushed into a housing of an image forming apparatus or a medium feeding device and when the medium is loaded on the medium loading section, position displacement does not occur in the medium regulation section. Consequently, positioning of the medium can be accurately performed.
