Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To early neutralize electric charge remaining in an electrostatic coating machine when power supply to the electrostatic coating machine is stopped.SOLUTION: A rotary atomization head 102 receives high voltage of negative polarity from a cascade 104. An electrostatic coating machine 100 also comprises a second high voltage generator 110 for generating high voltage of positive polarity. The second high voltage generator 110 is constituted of a Cockcroft Walton circuit. The Cockcroft Walton circuit is constituted of a diode and a capacitor. The high voltage of the electrostatic coating machine 100 is controlled by a controller 10. When operation of the electrostatic coating machine 100 is stopped by stopping the power supply to the cascade 104, a power source is supplied to the second high voltage generator 110 just after it. The high voltage of the positive polarity generated by the second high voltage generator 110, is supplied to the rotary atomization head 102 for a predetermined time.
