Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cation exchange membrane capable efficiently separating alkali in an electrodialysis method of an alkaline solution containing alkali metal ions.SOLUTION: The cation exchange membrane is a cation exchange membrane for dealkalization processing by an electrodialysis method of an alkaline solution containing alkali metal ions and having a surface constituted by an ethylenic ionomer resin having a carboxyl group. The ethylenic ionomer is a copolymer of ethylene and methacrylic acid, acrylic acid and the like, and has the carboxyl group (-CO2H) as an exchange group. Metal ions used for an intermolecular bond are not limited. The whole exchange membrane can be constituted by the ethylenic ionomer resin and also a constitution in which the surface of a know raw material of the exchange membrane is coated by the ethylenic ionomer resin is also available.
