Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst and an alkane with high activity and high yield.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst, the method comprising: (a) a step of dispersing a silicate in water; (b) a step of adding a chromium element; (c) a step of adding a surfactant to perform reaction at 50 to 150°C for 1 to 20 hours; and (d) a step of performing heat treatment at 200 to 700°C for 1 to 10 hours, wherein the step (c) is carried out after the step (a) or the step (b).
