MOSAIC IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS USING THREE DIMENSIONAL INFORMATION, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a three-dimensional mosaic image generating technology which can map a material image on an arbitrary polygon.SOLUTION: A texture image is assigned on each polygon divided based on the number of polygons inputted arbitrarily. An average concentration value of each fundamental color of the texture image part is respectively calculated as a target concentration value. A polygon in which one material image is placed is determined without depending on depth of shade of the texture image. An average concentration value of each fundamental color on the material image is calculated. While maintaining concentration value distribution rate of each fundamental color of the material image, color correction is applied to the material image so that the average concentration value of the fundamental color in the material image should be the target concentration value of each fundamental color of the texture image part in the polygon, respectively.
