Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient design method of a progressive refractive power lens that takes into consideration not only optical performance but also exterior appearance performance.SOLUTION: The design method of the progressive refractive power lens includes a step S030 of determining an addition power of an entire lens serving as a sum of an addition power of a lens outer surface and an addition power of a lens inner surface; and a step S040 of determining the addition power of the lens outer surface. In the step S040 of determining the addition power of the lens outer surface, when exterior appearance performance of the lens is prioritized more than optical performance thereof, the design method is configured to determine the addition power of the lens outer surface so that the addition power of the lens outer surface is 0 or more and smaller than the addition power of the entire lens, and when optical performance of the lens is prioritized more than the exterior appearance performance thereof, the design method is configured to determine the addition power of the lens outer surface so that the addition power of the lens outer surface is larger than the addition power of the entire lens.
