Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method of an optical element capable of producing efficiently, while preventing clouding or deterioration of appearance quality, even in the case of molding using an optical material containing bismuth.SOLUTION: A molding method of an optical element includes a heat treatment step S1 for performing heat treatment of optical material containing bismuth by controlling its temperature so as to obtain a temperature equal to or higher than a melting temperature of bismuth and below a slow cooling point of the optical element, and a molding step S3 for molding the optical element by heating and pressing the optical material subjected to heat treatment in the heat treatment step S1.
