SCROLLING DEVICE, SCROLLING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate scrolling of a piece of content having a large display size without requiring repeated operation.SOLUTION: A touch detection section 10 detects a touch by a finger on a screen of a display section 70. A proximity detection section 5 detects proximity of a finger to the screen of the display section 70. An application 50 causes the content displayed on the screen of the display section 70 to scroll according to the touch operation made by the finger. A display screen data generation section 60 causes the scrolled content to be displayed on the screen of the display section 70. When proximity of the finger to the screen is detected after the scrolling starts, a state change control unit 53 controls a change amount adjusting section 56 to reduce the scrolling speed to a convergence speed which is stored in a temporally speed holding section.
