Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data collection system of a smart meter which can acquire data of a smart meter by utilizing the existing CATV network and facility and reducing the size of new facility structure, as communication means to a smart meter for each dwelling unit to which electric wave does not reach in a high-rise building.SOLUTION: A CATV station 20-1 has a third router 31-1 used in an existing communication network, and performs polling to inquire a transmission request. A smart meter 12-1 has: a cable modem 121-1 in which an extended MIB for recording a WH value is provided; and a second router 122-1 in which a standard MIB 1223-1 is provided. The cable modem 121-1, according to polling, transfers the WH value recorded in the extended MIB to the standard MIB 1223-1, and the second router 122-1 transfers the WH value recorded in the standard MIB 1223-1 to the third router 31-1 of a center station 30 via a CATV network NW-1 and the existing communication network.
