Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector or the like capable of coping with even a thick fusion sleeve and excellent in assembly workability.SOLUTION: An optical fiber 25 is connected to a ferrule assembly 19. The ferrule assembly 19 has a ferrule 21 inside, and a ferrule-side optical fiber 23 is fixed to the ferrule 21. The ferrule-side optical fiber 23 and the optical fiber 25 are fused by using a fusing machine. After the ferrule-side optical fiber 23 and the optical fiber 25 are fused and spliced, a reinforcement sleeve is moved to a position of a connection, and the reinforcement sleeve 29 is fixed thereto. Then, the reinforcement sleeve 29 etc. are covered with a frame member 1. A body part 2 of the frame member 1 has an opening 5 on one side thereof. Accordingly, the reinforcement sleeve 29 etc. can be covered with the frame member 1 from a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the optical fiber 25 etc.
