Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that prevents a light guide plate and a reflection sheet from coming into close contact with each other, and suppresses a chromaticity difference and a luminance difference.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device has: a light guide plate 26 that has a front surface 28, a rear surface 30 on an opposite side of the front surface 28, and an edge surface 32 connecting the front surface 28 and the rear surface 30, is arranged so that the edge surface 32 faces a light source 22, makes incident light from the edge surface 32 internally reflected and makes the reflected incident light plane-emitted from the front surface 28; a liquid crystal display panel that is arranged so as to face the front surface 28 of the light guide plate 26; and a reflection sheet that is arranged so as to face the rear surface 30 of the light guide plate 26. The rear surface 30 includes a first part 38 and a second part 42 that are composed of a plurality of protrusion strips 40. A surface of the second part 42 is located at a position relatively dented from a surface of the first part 38. The surface of the first part 38 is a coarse surface, and the surface of the second part 42 is a smooth surface. The reflection sheet avoids contact with the second part 42, and comes into contact with the first part 38.
