Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement rod enabling measurement accuracy to be improved.SOLUTION: A measurement rod 1 is configured to measure an above-ground height of an upper measurement object from the ground. A plurality of rods 2a-2g are connected over a plurality of stages in an extensible/contractible manner and configured to be extended successively from the rod 2g of the top stage. Between the rods of upper and lower stages excepting the rod 2g of the top stage, a lock mechanism is provided which enables the rod of the upper stage to be extended by extending a rod of a further upper stage of the rod of the upper stage to the maximum. In the rod of the further upper stage, unlock means is provided to cancel a locked state caused by the lock mechanism. When measuring the height of the upper measurement object from the ground in a state where the measurement rod 1 is extended from the rod of the top stage to a desired rod and set to a desired length, since a non-extended rod is prevented from jumping out of the rod of the lower stage, the above-ground height of the measurement object can be measured while keeping the predetermined length of the measurement rod 1, such that measurement accuracy can be improved.
