Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying an additive, e.g. a fluoropolymer, to cellulose.SOLUTION: A method includes: a step to bring solid cellulose, a solvent capable of dissolving cellulose, and a dispersion of an additive into contact with one another so that a surface layer of the solid cellulose is dissolved in the solvent; a step to bring the dissolved cellulose into contact with the additive; and a step to reduce solubility of the cellulose in the solvent by changing a composition, an amount, or a temperature of the solvent so that at least a part of the dissolved cellulose deposits from the solution. A method for applying a fluoropolymer to the solid cellulose as a surface coat is provided. The fluoropolymer which may be produced by the method and a flexible bearing component comprising a mat of cellulose fibers are also provided. The solvent includes a cyclic amine oxide and water, and in particular the cyclic amine oxide is N-methylmorpholine N-oxide (NMMO). |
