PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device, a mobile telephone apparatus, a data reading method, a data reading program, and the like capable of surely managing operation of devices by using a simple method.SOLUTION: A terminal device reads identification information stored in an RFID tag existing within a first communication range from the terminal device, by a short-range wireless communication method; registers the identification information; starts a security mode in which use of the terminal device is limited; searches for an RFID tag existing within a communication range existing within a second communication range farther than the first communication range by a long-range wireless communication method, during execution of the security mode; reads identification information stored in the RFID tag; and ends the security mode when having retrieved the predetermined number of the identification information read by communication means, from the registered identification information.
