PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detergent composition for clothing exhibiting sufficient detergency even with short washing time.SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid detergent composition manufactured by blending (a) a non-ion surfactant represented by the general formula (1), (b) an anionic surfactant represented by the general formula (2), and a specified quantity of (c) an organic solvent having one or more hydroxyl group in a molecule and water, and having a mass ratio between the blended quantity of the (a) component and the blended quantity of the (b) component, (b)/(a) of 0.4 to 10. RO-(EO)H (1), where Ris a hydrocarbon group having 8 to 18 carbon atoms, EO is an ethylene oxy group, m is an average addition molar number. RO-(EO)-(AO)-SOM (2), where Ris a hydrocarbon group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, AO is an alkylene oxy group having 3 carbon atoms and/or an alkylene oxy group having 4 carbon atoms, EO is an ethylene oxy group, p and q are each an average addition molar number of 0.5 to 5 and M is a cation.
