ADDRESS GENERATION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change whether a specified address is in an interleave area according to partition addresses.SOLUTION: An address generation circuit provide a signal indicative of bank selection and an address for a storage part which stores successive data in first and second banks alternately in an interleave area in word units and in one of first and second banks in other areas in sector units larger than the word units, and the address generation circuit includes: a register which holds set partition addresses; a comparator which determines whether a specified address is in the interleave area from the specified address and partition addresses; a signal generation part which generates the signal based upon the least significant bit of the specified address for a case of interleaving and the most significant digit bit of the specified address other than the least significant digit address in other cases; and an address generation part which generates an address by excluding the least significant digit bit from the specified address in the case of interleaving and an address by excluding the high-order digit bits from the specified address in other cases.
