PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for sheet and the like having a space usable as an index, by maintaining maximum holding force, even in a natural holding state, without damaging a sheet and the like, by smoothly executing work, even when inserting-extracting the sheet and the like, for the problem trying to be solved by the present invention.SOLUTION: The holder is composed of a film-like or sheet-like auxiliary member and a substantially U-shaped holding member formed so that the inside of a gap part contacts with an outer surface of the auxiliary member or holding force is generated, by holding the auxiliary member, and the auxiliary member is provided with an opening-shaped insertion part for inserting the holding member in a state of bending in the substantially central vicinity, and when holding or opening the sheet and the like from a holding state by the holder over an end part for forming a bending state from one end of the opening-shaped insertion part, the holding member is operated without directly picking by fingers, and a holding part of becoming the index (hereinafter referred to as the index) is formed.
