PRINTING MEDIUM, AND PRINTER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing medium and a printer using the same in which an issuance history of issuance error information etc. on a paper roll can be known from the paper roll while an accurate residual quantity for each paper roll can be grasped.SOLUTION: A printer draws a belt-like paper from a paper roll 1 as a printing medium consisting of a belt like paper wound over a hollow pipe body 1p and performs printing by a printing part, and cuts by cutting means, to issue a sheet-like paper. The paper roll 1 includes a non-contact radio tag 18, which can read and write data contactlessly, mounted at the pipe body 1p. The printer includes a reader-writer 16 which is a non-contact radio tag communication part for performing data communication with the non-contact radio tag 18, and a control part for performing write-in processing or read-out processing of issuance information on sheet-like paper issuing by the printing part to or from the non-contact radio tag 18 through the reader-writer 16.
