Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a balloon for a catheter in a treatment for an aortic angusta of a lime deposition property or for an aortic angusta of rheumatic and congenital properties, as can control the extended external diameter of an extensible external diameter easily and can prevent the migration of the balloon effectively, and can fix the balloon easily at a predetermined position.SOLUTION: A balloon for a catheter 10 comprises: a cylindrical balloon portion 20 formed of an inextensible material or a lowly extensible material; and a band portion 30 made of an elastic material having an extensibility. In the state of no extending force applied, the band portion 30 has a shorter diameter than the expansion diameter of the balloon portion 20 while no extending force being applied, and is wound at a medium portion of the balloon portion 20.
