PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent wave auxiliary tool capable of performing rapid, simple formation of permanent wave.SOLUTION: A permanent wave auxiliary tool 1 to be used when winding a hair bundle 30 around a rod 34 together with a sheet 32 includes a belt-like auxiliary tool body 10 bendable and deformable along the outer surface of the rod 34, and a pressing piece 20 formed in a hook-like shape on the leading edge of the auxiliary tool body 10. The pressing piece 20 has a shape bent to the inner surface side of the auxiliary tool body 10. The rod 34 is rotated in a state where the rod 34 is held by the bent and deformed auxiliary tool body 10 through the hair bundle 30 and the sheet 32, so that the hair bundle 30 and the sheet 32 are pressed by the pressing piece 20 and wound around the rod 34.
